So there has been a new addition to the world and i needed to share with you all. She is so beautiful that i don't even know what to say and i can't wait till she is old enough to talk so she can call me auntie tina. This was the first time i got to see a brand new baby at the hospital just hours after being born, i don't know how my mom does it every day. She is a lucky lady. Please meet Sophie. I love her, and there will probably be a lot of photos to come.

The Bairos Thanksgiving Dinner Table

thanksgiving weekend.

So it's been a really long time since i posted and my very few followers are asking me what is going on. Well the truth is i have been super busy with work, working so much that by the time i get home all i wanna do is lay down. I know this is no excuse the whole point of my blog was to get my mind off work and put some energy into something that i love. So from now on i will try harder, i promise. i will start with it being thanksgiving weekend and i am so looking forward to eating all day Sunday and all day Monday. If you have time off what better way to spend it then eating home cooked meals! Especially if you are used to eating restaurant food everyday. i will post pictures tomorrow i just got home from a delicious turkey and salmon dinner and i am too pooped to even type. goodnight.

nothing a few old friends can't fix.

So i have been feeling pretty sick for the past couple of days, today being the worst. I haven't blogged cause i was too tired and today i feel the same just thought a i would post a picture that makes me happy. Last night i had a few old friends visit and even though i could feel myself getting sicker by the minute it made me happy to know that after many years of not seeing each other it seemed like we hadn't skipped a beat. Brought out the good 'ol camera today!

So it's been awhile since i have shot with my digital SLR and to be honest it's a pretty old one, but it does the job. Today i pulled it down from the top of my closet, threw it over my shoulder and spent the afternoon with a good friend of mine. Ready to have her first baby girl in just a few short weeks the two of us had talked about taking some pictures of her and her belly a few months ago and it seemed like a good idea. Time passed, we got busy, her belly got bigger and i thought, i had better ask her again before the baby is here, i didn't want to miss out on the opportunity to take pictures of her and her beautiful tummy. So i mentioned it again and she seemed a little less interested this time, i told her not to feel pressured if she didn't feel comfortable then we didn't have to do it, but she is a really pretty lady and it would be next to impossible to take a bad photo of her. So i convinced her that even if we take just a few at least she will have a pic or two to remember what she looked like when she was pregnant for the first time. Anyway i was happy i got to do it and here is one of my favorites.

I saw a photo of figs on another blog and she wrote about how beautiful they are, i agreed, so i dug up this photo. This was in Athens having dinner outside with fresh figs right off the tree.

Tinos

If i remember correctly, my memory isn't one of my strengths this was the first island we visited. We stayed right next to the port and this was our first night looking out off our little balcony. For a little island there seemed to be a lot going on. Beautiful night!

i love this picture it makes me remember how hot it was. This was in Santorini waiting for the bus to take us into town....it never came we ended up walking.

There is something very beautiful about this picture that makes me want to sit and stare at it. I don't know if it is because of how clean and white it is or it could be how symmetrical it is it almost looks like a mirrored image of itself..... I think it's the motorcycle... it reminds me of my dad.

Just starting to get the hang of this whole blogging thing.

So i will ask anyone who comes across this blog to bare with me, i am new to this whole thing and am just starting to get the hang of it all. So for the first little while i can guarantee this blog will be all over the place and probably not flow as well as it should so i ask for your patience, and remember what it was like to be a kid and just look at all the pretty pictures.

This was taken in Tinos, two old gutted cars looking out off the edge of a cliff. I always thought it was kind of a romantic picture and looked like the cars were on a date at the drive-in or something.

This was in Athens outside of the parliment buildings, the changing of the guards. It was a whole routine. I just like the pom poms on the shoes.
